This approach begins with the careful selection of our tanneries, each certified by the Leather Working Group, with many achieving Gold or Silver ratings. These certifications reflect not only their efforts toward more responsible production, but also their commitment to traceability and high social standards.
In our pursuit of uncompromising quality, we have built close partnerships with prestigious, often family-run companies distinguished by generations of expertise and craftsmanship. Our partners are committed to complying with European directives on health and safety at work, as well as to the responsible use of tannins and chemicals throughout their production processes.
These long-term collaborations allow us to work with manufacturers who share our values and our commitment to creating pieces designed to endure, both in quality and relevance.
MILAN • PALMELLATO LEATHER
The first of our two Italian tanneries is located in Milan and has been specializing in the creation of textured leathers since 1898, Gold rated by the Leather Working Group. The flagship products of the company are embossed leathers such as the famous Palmellato texture. Due to the special wax treatment of this leather, the products achieve a great level of durability and stain resistance.
With its attention to production processes and awareness of trends in the fashion world, the tannery embodies the “Made in Italy” philosophy.
FLORENCE • CROC-EFFECT LEATHER
Our croc-effect leather is sourced from a Silver-rated Leather Working Group tannery located near Florence, in Santa Croce sull’Arno, one of Italy’s most renowned leather districts.
Since 1967, the tannery has specialised in the development of textured leathers, including the croc-embossed finish used across selected Maison Maestoso handbags. A dedicated wax treatment enhances the depth, tactile character and durability of the leather, giving each piece a refined and distinctive surface.
Alongside its long-standing craftsmanship, the tannery continues to invest in technological innovation and more responsible production processes, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of leather manufacturing.
ITALIAN • NAPPA LEATHER
Selected for its exceptional softness, fine grain and supple feel, Nappa leather is used across selected Maison Maestoso handbags and footwear. Its refined surface allows sculptural forms to remain soft and fluid, while preserving the precision and elegance that define our design language.
The leather is sourced from one of Italy’s prestigious tanneries, Silver rated by the Leather Working Group, and selected for its tactile softness, refined finish and ability to shape both fluid handbags and elegant footwear.
ZACATECAS • VEGAN CACTUS LEATHER
Each style within the Eco-Vegan Collection is responsibly handcrafted from the leaves of a particular type of cactus, the Nopal, a highly sustainable and environmentally friendly, biodegradable organic material.
The innovative plant-based material is produced from native cactus that grows in an organic farming system in Zacatecas region of Mexico and it matches local biodiversity and requires no herbicides, pesticides, or even irrigation. Colored using organic pigments, the vegan cactus leather bags are available in a sleek, soft and luxurious texture of black and oyster.
Our eco-vegan sustainable leather is produced from mature leaves of the cactus plant, which are harvested around 6-8 months. No irrigation systems are used as the cacti grow healthy with rain water and earth minerals found in the area.
Not only is it vegan, but it’s also healthy for human wear and truly environmentally sustainable.

Crafted from organic silk, each scarf embodies the pinnacle of sustainable luxury. This organic silk is cultivated without any chemical treatments, including insecticides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. In their commitment to ethical practices, the silkworms are nurtured in a natural environment, allowing them to complete their life cycle peacefully and without harm.
We take immense pride in the fact that our scarves are certified by the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), the most rigorous benchmark for sustainable production in the textile industry. This certification assures that every Maison Maestoso scarf is ethically sourced, processed, and manufactured with the utmost respect for the environment, from the silk farms to your wardrobe.
HONG KONG • RECYCLED PRECIOUS METALS
Our jewelry is handcrafted in Hong Kong by a specialist manufacturer selected for its commitment to responsible sourcing, craftsmanship and ethical production.
Each piece is created from recycled sterling silver and finished either in rhodium or 18K gold vermeil, combining sculptural design with precious materials chosen for durability and refinement.
Our manufacturing partner is a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council and has completed the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), reflecting a continued commitment to responsible business practices, social standards and transparency throughout the production process.
For our jewelry packaging, we use d2w technology as part of our approach to reducing environmental impact, designed to accelerate decomposition without leaving toxic residues or persistent microplastics.
